About Us

Annada83 is a forum of former students who appeared in SSC in 1983 from the Annada Government High School, Brahmanbaria. The forum was formed in 2018 when a group of fellows of that batch gathered together in Brahmanbaria after Eid-ul-Adha. The idea came from our friend Zahid, an established business personality, to unify our school friends. The initial objective was as simple as to meet, greet and eat. While discussing in our first meeting, we realized that the soil of Brahmanbaria and our beloved school has given us so much that time has come to repay back. And it would be possible only if we remain united and do some social work. Consequently, Annada83 came into being.

About the School: Annada Government High School is a government secondary school for boys, in Brahmanbaria, Bangladesh. The school was named after Raja Roy Bahadur Annada Prashad Roy who was a landlord of Kolkata. The school operates under the Comilla Education Board.

The school lies in the heart of Brahmanbaria town, the administrative headquarters of the district of the same name. It is the oldest and one of the largest schools in Brahmanbaria District. The school started out in 1860, as an aided Anglo-vernacular school. It was upgraded to a high school in 1875 with the help of Annada Prasad Roy Bahadur of Cassimbazar and zamindar of Sarail Estate. The founding headmaster was Babu Jogesh Chandra Sarker. The school was nationalised on 1 May 1968.

In February 2009, Mrs. Farida Nazmeen joined as a headmaster of the school.
